So here I am at home on a Sunday morning struggling with the flu. It’s been a week of taking care of the kids as they have had it and wiping everything down with Lysol wipes and disinfectant spray. I hate it when everything has the taste and smell of Lysol. Anyway, I’m not one to miss church as I am the Pastor but today was inevitable. As I think about how the service is going and the new people that will arrive and hear Pastor John this morning and think, “wow he is good” but only to be disappointed when they return and hear me. ( haha).
This got me to thinking just how important every part of the body is. When one part or person is not doing it’s God given responsibility, there is a lack or something that suffers. Each and everyone one of us has not only a place but a position in the body of Jesus. When we are all functioning in that spot He has placed us in, maximum ministry is attained. I hope that you will consider where God has you to serve Him in our church body. If you are already there, ask yourself this question, are their any adjustments that need to be made? Am I doing all He has asked me to do with a cheerful heart? If you are not yet “fit” in the family, ask Jesus today to begin to reveal to you what your gifts and calling is.
